Bon's Scraps is generously donating 50% of all profit, to the SIDS and KIDS RED NOSE DAY appeal. RED NOSE DAY is tomorrow Friday 27 June.

A VERY SPECIAL CALL:
WE WANT YOUR BRAS !!!!!!!!
Disadvantaged indigenous women from Fiji, PNG, Vanuatu and Cook Islands get much of their clothing from second hand Australian clothes shops. Bras are rare in these shops, particularly in sizes to suit these ladies and High School age girls. A new bra costs $40, and wages range from $1.50- $4.50/hour.
With the humidity, fungal infections and abscesses occur between the breast and the chest wall. Bras will help.
Since 2005, Uplift Fiji, through Rotary International World Community Service, has sent bras through secure channels, making sure they get to the women who need them without compromising their dignity.
All second hand bras are welcome.
The biggest sizes are the most needed and the hardest to get.
Every bra donated will become the only bra a particular woman owns.
Worn out bras can be used for spare parts and strap extenders!
Rotary has an import duty exemption for second hand goods taken into Fiji for charitable purposes, but not for new goods.
Closing date for Bra collection is the 21st July 2008. Please either drop them at Red Cross,6 Foley Street, Gwynneville or call to arrange collection. (4227 3433)
