We are searching for 3 Design Team Members.Two of these will be talented scrapbookers, and one will be a talented "Off the Page" scrapbooker.
If chosen as a Scraps of Us Design Team Member you will be responsible for:
Creating original and inspirational scrapbook layouts and/or Off the Page projects that will be displayed in the Scraps of Us store. These projects may also be used as class kits, so it will also be your responsibility to submit step-by-step instructions with your layout/Beyond the Page item.
Become a member of the Scraps Of Us Forum and become an active member (I would expect that you pop into the forum at minimum once a day). You will also be required to post challenges and participate in challenges posted by other Design Team members.
Respond to topics posted by other members of the forum.
Participate in the monthly Cybercrop. You will be called on to create a layout or sketch for this.
In exchange you will receive from Scraps of Us:
Your Scraps Of Us Design Team kit absolutely free of charge. All materials provided will be stock items from the Scraps of Us store, they are yours to keep, but they must all be used on your Design Team project. Any additional materials used on a Design Team project must be purchased from the Scraps of Us store using your special Design Team Discount. Any items you wish to use on your projects that are none Scraps of Us products must be pre-approved.
20% off purchases from our store while ever you remain a Scraps Of Us Design Team Member. If you are happy for your order to be posted with your Design Team kit, you will also receive free postage.
You will also be given prior notice of any clearance items with an option to purchase at clearance prices (your Design Team discount will not apply to these items), before items are made available to general public.
If chosen as a member of our Design Team, your commitment will be 6 months. If selected, you will be emailed a detailed contract, outlining all your responsibilities, commitments and compensations. You will not be announced as a Design Team member until this contract has been examined and signed.
Submissions for Round 1 of the Design Team must be sumitted by 30th September 2008, Midnight.
Please include pictures of three of your best layouts / "Off the Page" projects. These must be submitted as attachments in jpg form. Please do not embed your pictures. Pictures should be clear. Blurry pictures of layouts will not be accepted.
Please include a short submission outlining why you love scrapbooking, and why you feel that you should be a member of the Scraps of Us Design Team. Also include details of other Design Teams you may be on, other forums you are a member of and Magazines yours work has been published in.

Successful applicants of Round 1 will be announced on the 3rd October 2008, Midnight.
Should you make it throught to Round 2, you will be required to purchase the Round 2 Design Team Kit, which will be available in the store under "Classes" for $10.00.
Submissions for the Round 2 kit will be accepted no later than 5pm, 24th October 2008.
Round 2 applicants will be required to complete the tasks outlined in the "Kit" and then email pictures of the completed projects to Scraps of Us. These must be submitted as attachments in jpg form. Please do not embed your pictures. Pictures should be clear. Blurry pictures of layouts will not be accepted.
Step-by-step instructions must also be included with this project/s as an attachment. Step-by-step instructions will only be accepted as pdf files.
Those talented applicants accepted will be sent a letter welcoming them to the Scraps of Us Design Team no later than 31st October, and a contract outlining all respomsiblities, commitments and compensations.
